Robert Grima, Canarian born, Catalan raised, Andalucian adopted and Mallorcan at heart is a true music activist. First being the guitarist of psychedelic-garage pop band Los Negativos, which formed in 1984 in Barcelona and with which he recorded several albums, eventually becoming a cult band of the 80’s in Spain. Then being a booker at venues as Bikini in Barcelona that managed to turn in a short time into one of the most successful venues in Barcelona. From there he soon started promoting International shows under his first company, La Iguana International, that soon became Iguapop, booming while promoting for the first time in Spain artists as Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Foo Fighters, Radiohead , Oasis, Sonic Youth, Blur, Beck, Pixies and many others back in the 90’s. Later on Robert was a key player of FESTIMAD, first alternative/indie festival in Madrid and POP FESTIVAL in Barcelona. He was also responsible for art spaces as Iguapop Gallery in Barcelona and Blokker Gallery in Madrid. Now as Head Promoter and President of Live Nation Madrid is the force behind successful tours of Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Foo Fighters, Madonna, U2, Muse, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Metallica among others. And continues to invest and impulse on the development of emerging international & local talent. After more than 30 years in live music business, Robert Grima keeps his enthusiasm and the spirit he had when he started and never lost: his true love for music, caring for his artists and an intelligent and generous vision of the business. This makes Robert one of the most respected promoters both in Spain and abroad throughout the international live music industry.
