Lawyer and teacher, she is, since 2004, founder and managing partner of Legalarte, a law firm specialized in intellectual property, audiovisual and entertainment industry and new technologies. Throughout her career, Castelo has acted as legal counsel in several series and films, both national and international, such as "Celda 211" (Daniel Monzón, 2009), "También la lluvia" (Icíar Bollaín, 2010), "Beautiful" (González-Iñárritu, 2010), "Room in Rome" (Julio Médem, 2010) or the most recent, "Las niñas de cristal" (for Netflix, 2022). Similarly, Marisa Castelo has become founder of the company Tormenta Films, producer of films such as "Operation E" (Miguel Courtois and Luis Tosar, 2012), President of the Electoral Commission of the Television Academy since 2018, Secretary of the Electoral Commission of the Royal Spanish Football Federation since 2020, and President of the Copyright Institute, since 2020 until now.
