Born in Madrid, Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Master MBA from the ""Instituto de Empresa"". He has developed his professional career in the area of new technologies, working since 1984 in different telecommunications and computer consultancies. Since 1994, the year in which he joined AIE (Musical Artists Management Society of Spain), he has been totally dedicated to the application of these advances to the management of artists' intellectual property rights, designing and participating in the development of the most advanced data platforms: IPD and VRDB. In 1999 he was appointed as General Director of AIE. He is a member of different committees of the main international organizations of artists' societies, and combines these activities with participation in groups of experts in Telecommunications and their relationship with content and DRM systems. From 2009 to 2011 he held the presidency of IPDA (International Performers' Database Association), an entity that developed IPD, the world database of artists. In 2022 he has been elected President of the SCAPR (Council of Performing Artists Rights Societies) International Board, of which he has been a member of the Board of Directors and the Database Committee since 2012. In 2019 he was elected as a member of the Administrative Council of AEPO -ARTIS (European Coordination Organization of Artist Entities), and is also President of the Technical Committee of FILAIE (Ibero-Latin American Federation of Performing Artists), which includes the management societies of Latin America, Portugal and Spain.
