DJ and black music enthusiast, Alex Subinas has been organizing Soul4Real for 22 years, one of the most prestigious soul festivals in Europe, which will exclusively bring Bettye Lavette and Milton Wright to its next October edition. Likewise, he is a promoter of Soulero! a quarterly club based in Bilbao. As DJ, he is a regular guest at UK clubs and festivals, having also played on several occasions in Sweden and Japan. His sessions span all the decades and sounds of soul music, with exciting forays into jazz, Latin rhythms and Jamaican music. His passion for music has also led him to create and direct two very special record labels -Soul4Real and Jai Alai- specialized in rescuing unreleased recordings of soul music from the 60s and 70s, making them accessible to the general public.
